FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Caledon, ON March 17, 2023 — The Hill Academy, a premier institution for academic, character and athletic excellence, proudly announces its coaching appointments for the 2025-26 hockey season. With a proven track record of developing elite athletes, our program continues to set the standard for high-performance hockey development.

U15 AAA (2011) Team: Head Coach Gianmarco Aiello

Renowned for his ability to develop elite talent, Gianmarco Aiello returns to The Hill Academy as Head Coach of the U15 AAA (2011) team. With extensive experience coaching top-tier prospects—including future NHL players—Aiello is poised to bring his expertise and leadership to the 2011 age group. His coaching philosophy focuses on building successful teams from the net out. Aiello coached The Hill's U18 Prep team for the 2024-25 season and has previous experience coaching through A+ Performance Hockey School, Vaughan Kings, North York Rangers and York Simcoe Express.

U16 AAA (2010) Team: Head Coach Ryan Toomey

Director of Hockey Ryan Toomey will continue to lead the U16 AAA (2010) team as they enter a pivotal stage in their development. His leadership has been instrumental in the team’s success over the past two seasons, focusing on preparing players to reach the next level in their hockey careers. Toomey’s playing experience includes captaining Mercyhurst University (NCAA) and competing professionally in both Europe and North America.

U18 Prep Team (2008-2009): Head Coach Blaine McCauley

We are excited to welcome Blaine McCauley as the new head coach for the U18 Prep team (2008/2009). A former professional hockey player and experienced coach, McCauley brings a wealth of knowledge from coaching assignments with the Georgetown Raiders, Brantford 99ers, and Halton Hurricanes. His playing career includes stints at Lake Superior State University, as well as in the ECHL (Dayton Bombers) and AHL (Cleveland Barons, Syracuse Crunch). McCauley will be a fantastic addition to our already strong coaching team.
